Ligiades – Amfithea
Ligiades
At a distance of 5 km and at an altitude of 910 m. From Perama is the martyr village of Ligiades (the first Zagorochori since 1923), a traditional settlement with beautiful views of the entire basin of Ioannina. It is the balcony of the Municipality of Ioannina and is the jewel of our area. The historical memories of the Ligiades remain unchanged over time and the commemorative events for the victims of the Nazi Atrocity with 82 victims always take place on the first Sunday of October. It has traditional guesthouses overlooking the city of Ioannina, Lake Pamvotida, the Island of Kyra Frosini and restaurants and cafes whose delicacies excite every visitor.
Amfithea
Amphithea also known as Strouni is located at a distance of 2 km from Perama and 15 minutes from the city center of Ioannina (with frequent public transport). It is a lakeside area of the Municipality of Ioannina and upon arrival the visitor can get to know the habitat, the vegetation and the flora of the area. In Amfithea there is also a water ski canal which hosts world-class races. The old primary school "Koutseki" built in 1886 is a listed monument. Amphithea has many good restaurants and cafes and in combination with the view of the lake impress every visitor.
